Central University of Karnataka imparts education in different disciplines including professional programs. These programs of this university are designed in such a way so to prepare the students to find their respective role in their real-life situation and enable them to face the challenges of professional life. By providing facilities and expertise through its infrastructure and faculties, the university facilitates the students to explore and shape their talents. The University offers UG, PG and Ph.D. programs in the fields of Humanities, Arts, Commerce, Management and Science & Technology and has been able to attract students from various parts of the country to various programs offered in the University. At present, there are twenty-seven departments and twelve schools which includes School of Business Studies, School of Social and Behavioural Sciences, School of Humanities & Languages, School of Earth Sciences, School of Physical Sciences, School of Chemical Sciences, School of Life sciences, School of Engineering, School of Computer Sciences, School of Education & Training, School of Media Studies and School of Legal Jurisprudence and Studies.
The Placement Cell of the university is established for securing our students future by giving a respectful job and opportunities to them. Thus, the main objective of the cell is to get students placed in reputed multinationals, Government Organizations, NGO's and the private sector. The Placement Cell acts as an interface between the industry and the students, and will primarily enable the students to select from their career options. The Placement Cell will liaison with corporate organizations to provide suitable jobs and internship for the candidates completing their studies from the University. Simultaneously, it also provides guidance to the students to upgrade their skills, which are required by potential employers in the dynamic environment.
The cell organizes numerous program-me such as seminars and workshops to enable the students of the University to improve their skills and become successful professionals.
The placement cell of the university provides a place for employers to find manpower suitable for their requirements. The cell facilitates the selection process of all the companies as per their requirement in terms of logistics and infrastructural support.

The Placement cell plays a crucial role in providing job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the College/University by keeping in touch with world class organizations. Central University of Karnataka (CUK) gives utmost importance in facilitating the students for felicitous placements in and off campus before their graduation. CUK strives hard to ensure that every student gets the right skill & domain knowledge. The main objective of CUK is to create knowledge and competencies/skills required by the recruiters with strong academic foundations. Placement cell in association with various disciplines provides a conducive environment for students. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between recruiters and graduates. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed organizations visit our institute to conduct interview process. The Placement cell organizes career guidance programmes for all the students and arranges training on employability skills. The Placement cell consists of Placement Officer, Assistant Placement officer, Faculty placement coordinators, Student Placement coordinators working round the clock to provide the best possible services to the visiting organizations.
