INSTITUTIONAL HUMAN ETHICS COMMITTEE
The Institutional Human Ethics Committee (IHEC) at Central University Karnataka is dedicated to ensuring the ethical conduct of research involving human participants. The committee reviews research proposals to safeguard the dignity, rights, safety, and well-being of participants, in compliance with national and international ethical guidelines.
The IHEC operates under the principles outlined by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the Declaration of Helsinki, and other relevant regulatory frameworks. Our mission is to foster responsible research practices while promoting academic excellence.
Objectives
To review and approve research proposals involving human participants.
To ensure ethical standards are maintained in all research activities.
To protect the rights and welfare of research participants.
To guide researchers on ethical issues in human research.
